Out of home will always form part of the urban and rural landscape, it’s not going anywhere. And radio – the news jingle will always get us to reach for the volume button, our favourite song gets us singing along and we associate and empathise with DJ’s.

Radio has strong and enviable offerings: reach, immediacy, frequency, geographic targeting, daypart targeting, language targeting. Turnaround time is fast and production can be relatively inexpensive.

So how do marketers get the most out of their radio campaign? Making radio work for your company requires strategy, skilled media buying and engaging creative. But what makes a radio ad engaging?

HOT NEWS:- Sinclair Broadcast Group Will Sell 23 Stations In 18 Markets.

Aiming to appease regulators and accelerate the closing of its $3.9 purchase of Tribune Media, Sinclair Broadcast Group says it will sell 23 TV stations in 18 markets to six different buyers. The spinoffs add seven new markets to the original 11 the company had earmarked for sale back in February.

The buyers include Cunningham Broadcasting, Standard Media Group, Howard Stirk Holdings, Meredith Corp, a company affiliated with the CEO of Maryland-based Atlantic Automotive Corp. and a sixth party that hasn’t been announced.

Mass Appeal:- Classic Hits Reach New Ratings Peaks.

Christmas brings AC radio a huge cume infusion – the tricky part is trying to retain some of that ratings rocket boost, while luring back listeners that found a new favorite station when the Yule music was playing 24/7. Based on a new analysis of first quarter listening data, AC programmers have cracked the ratings code, delivering the format’s best numbers in seven years.

The usual scenario sees AC fall back to earth after the Holiday book ends and the influx of new listeners tails off. “This year has been different, however, with AC surging to one of its best starts to the year (post-holiday) that we have seen in PPM measurement, particularly with Millennial audiences,” Nielsen says in a new analysis released Wednesday. In fact, in the PPM markets, AC posted its highest first quarter share of 18-34 year-olds in any year since Nielsen began tracking national format trends in 2011.

AC cracked an 8.0 share among Millennials for the first time,
